Wimbledon 2024: Here are our favourite sports clubs in and around Knightsbridge

As Wimbledon 2024 rumbles on, you might be inspired to take to the courts to be the next tennis star. Luckily, central London is an amazing place for sports fans.

Knightsbridge and the surrounding have some of the best sports clubs in London, and it’s less than an hour away from Wimbledon, making it the perfect place for active people to consider moving.

Read on for some of our team’s favourites…

Battersea Park Millenium Arena

Located in Battersea Park, the Millenium Arena offers a range of activities for local residents to try. As well as a gym, guided sessions and athletics track, Battersea Park Millenium Area has 19 tennis courts, on both tarmac and sand-dressed astroturf overlooking the iconic Battersea Power Station.

The sports club also offers sessions from registered tennis coaches – whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced player, you can improve your tennis skills at the club.

Harbour Club Chelsea

Just across the Thames, Harbour Club Chelsea is an exclusive sports facility with a spa, multiple pools and 12 tennis courts. For those wanting to try one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, Harbour Club Chelsea also has three padel courts, with guidance from professional coaches.

Harbour Club Chelsea also offers a relaxing Club Lounge for its members to recharge and recuperate.

Park Sports Hyde Park

For a more relaxed option, Park Sports has opened a sports club in Hyde Park just a stone’s throw from South Kensington. With seven tennis courts, a padel court and football pitches, as well as a dog-friendly cafe the club is a great option for local families.

The sports club is the perfect opportunity to try something new with their ‘pay and play’ option.

Rocks Lane Bishops Park Tennis Centre

Rocks Lane Tennis Centre is in Bishops Park, Fulham. The community-focused tennis club is open to all, with tots to teens, adult and veteran programmes, and has a great relationship with local schools.

The Fulham-based sports club has 12 tennis courts and junior-specific courts. And if competing is your thing, Rock Lane Tennis Centre’s members compete in Middlesex events.

The Merchant of Battersea

If watching sports with friends is more your thing, The Merchant of Battersea is a friendly neighbourhood pub that’s perfect for watching Wimbledon 2024 with a drink and a bite to eat. They also show football, boxing, and motorsports and even host live music events.

Prince Albert Notting Hill Gate

Nestled in the iconic Notting Hill, the Prince Albert is a traditional pub that shows sports, including Wimbledon 2024 and the Euros. The pub specialises in craft beers and gourmet pub grub, so you can catch your favourite games with friends and family.
